We believe our Sixth form is a setting where students thrive both socially and academically. We are very proud of all our student successes and especially proud when students give of their all and are successful. Sixth Form is not easy and we support the transition from GCSE to A level study; we encourage students to be responsible young adults and we encourage our students to be the best they can be in all that they do, every day.
McAuley Sixth Form has the same mission statement as the rest of School... "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full." Having life to the full is that all students strive to achieve their potential in whatever pathways they chose in their future. We have had many successes with Level 3 Apprenticeships and equal success in our University applicants. Students are well supported as they progress though their A levels and we provide access to many information sessions about Life After McAuley. McAuley Sixth Form has led the way in student summer conferences, here students reflect on their next steps after McAuley and are helped to prepare to make informed decisions about their futures. This activity is underlined by the teachings of the Catholic Church; we believe that every McAuley Sixth Former has unique, God given gifts of character and talent and we encourage all our students "not to have more but to be more" (O Romero). Sixth Formers are encouraged to participate in the many opportunities to develop their skill set through the Sixth Form curricular and extracurricular provision.
